Feng Shui. Our way.
Adopt-a-Block Poughkeepsie sponsored a community cleanup day on Saturday, September 18 in an effort to beautify the city of Poughkeepsie by picking up litter. One hundred volunteers of all ages came out on Saturday and collected dozens of bags of trash and recyclable materials that lined the neighborhood streets.
Thirteen miles of street and sidewalk were cleaned-up including South Hamilton Street, Academy Street, Hooker Avenue, and Mansion Square Park among other areas. Members of The River Church, In Christ United, and St. Paul's Episcopal Church worked alongside members of the community at large.
Founded in 2006, Adopt-a-Block Poughkeepsie is a nonprofit volunteer organization that exists to make Poughkeepsie a better place to live through practical acts of care and service.
